iPod touch を iPhoneに！？Sprint Nextelが3G接続ケース「ZTE PEEL」発売

　
　このなんちゃってiPhoneケース ZTE PEEL は、ケースの中に3Gモジュールを備えたiPod touch専用ケースで、iPod touchをこのケースに入れると、Sprintの3Gネットワークに接続することができるようになるのです。
　

　※残念ながら日本のauとSprint Nextelは同じCDMAでも、上りと下りの電波帯域が逆のためローミングすら出来ない鎖国状態でしたが、auが最近の機種からこの問題を改良して、Sprint Nextelと同じ仕様の端末・通信設備に切り替えています。米国のSprint Nextelから「ZTE PEEL」を個人輸入しても、いまは使えないのです。

　
iPod touchとは別にWi-Fi機能も搭載しているので、最大2台のデバイスを接続してモバイルホットスポットとして使うことも可能といった欲張り機能も満載です。
　
Sprintでは、この３G通信ケースPEEL向けに、月額29.99ドル（通信量1Gバイトまで）のプランを提供すると発表しました。
　
PEELは第2世代、第3世代のiPod touchに対応し、Windows 7、Vista、XP、Mac OS X 10.5および10.6をサポートする。
